She Stopped Posting Like Everyone Else. Her Case Load Hit an All-Time High.

Professional content built Heather Greenhill Stohlman’s online presence from scattered posts into a brand that’s now driving the highest case load of her career.

The problem A previous marketing company posting videos and reels a few times a week, but no real strategy, no LinkedIn presence, and content that didn’t reflect her level of experience
The solution eLuminate’s ongoing social content — educational, professional video and post content built around a streamlined weekly calendar, with scripted, directed 90-minute filming sessions so Heather never has to create it alone
The result The highest case load of her career, industry-wide recognition from peers and bar association colleagues, and prospective clients who now arrive at consultations already familiar with her

Before working with eLuminate, Heather Greenhill Stohlman wasn’t without marketing — she had a company posting her videos and reels two to three times a week. But something was missing. “I had a presence. It just… I don’t think felt as much before I hired you,” she says. She had no presence on LinkedIn at all, and the content she was putting out didn’t carry the weight of her experience.

The Before: A Presence That Didn’t Match the Practice

Heather’s goal going in was simple but specific.

“I wanted them to recognize the level of professionalism that I brought to the table and the level of experience,” she says. “I wanted my content to be commensurate with that expectation.”

The gap wasn’t visibility — it was whether that visibility actually reflected who she was as an attorney.

The Results: Recognition She Can’t Miss Anymore

Since working with eLuminate, that gap has closed — and then some. “The presence is definitely being felt higher online right now,” Heather says. Colleagues and other parents at her daughter’s school have mentioned seeing her reels. Clients now show up to consultations having already looked her up, arriving with a clearer sense of what to expect. Even her own husband noticed: “Oh my gosh, you finally came up on my reels,” he told her recently.

The recognition has extended into her professional circles too. As president of a voluntary bar organization, Heather says people now regularly tell her, “I know who you are already because of my online presence” — something that simply wasn’t happening before. “I think the biggest difference for my firm is increased insights as far as clicking and recognition,” she adds.

The One Thing That Made the Difference

Asked what single change had the biggest impact, Heather points to the quality and tone of the content itself.

“It’s definitely been heightened — the level of professionalism, the level of content is so much greater,” she says. “It’s more in line with my age and experience and professional expectations.”

How We Made It Easy

As a busy attorney and firm owner, time was always going to be the constraint — and it’s exactly what the process was built to solve. “I don’t have a lot of time to dedicate to reviewing my proposed content,” Heather says. “Having everything streamlined in a manner that says, this week we’re going to do a carousel, this week we’re going to do a post, this is the intention, the goals, the outline — I can just read it and make edits myself right there.”

Add in the scripted, directed video sessions, and the entire process comes down to showing up. “The consolidation of all that information into an easy reference page has been extremely helpful for my own time management.”

The Impact on Case Load

The results haven’t stayed online — they’ve shown up directly in her business.

Since we started this process, I have definitely seen an uptick in the number of consultations and the number of cases that are coming in the door,” Heather says.

“I can honestly say that right now I have the highest case load of my entire career.”

She attributes that directly to the level of professionalism reflected in the content and the caliber of clients it’s attracting. The shift has been significant enough that she’s now able to be selective about the cases she takes on — a place she describes as “cherry picking” rather than taking whatever comes through the door.

The Personal Impact

Outside the practice, Heather stays active in philanthropy and at her daughter’s school — and the recognition has followed her there too. “There’s been an uptick in recognition of who I am because I am coming across other people’s feeds,” she says.

“When someone that you barely know comes up to you and says, ‘I saw your reel,’ it kind of feels a little surreal — but it’s a heartwarming reminder that my marketing team is doing exactly what they promised when I came on board.”

The Takeaway for Other Attorneys

Heather’s advice to another attorney hesitant to put themselves out there draws directly on the skills they already have.

“You already went to law school. You know how to put yourself out there, how to present yourself. That should come as second nature,” she says — even for transactional attorneys who don’t see themselves as being “on stage.”

On the investment itself, her framing is direct: “Investing in your marketing is getting one case in the door. It ends up paying for itself down the road… This is just a priceless investment.”
